There is no greater cause than making a positive impact on the lives of others; that is the mission of The Center for Jewish Life. Central Miami’s growing population has put before us the task of creating a multi-use space to engage our community, educate our children, and provide an inclusive home for those who yearn for a place to belong and strengthen their faith. The capital campaign for The Center for Jewish Life, “Building It Together”, will make this vision a reality.

About The Center for Jewish Life

The growing and diverse Jewish community of Central Miami needs a home. The Center for Jewish Life will be that home. It is time to strengthen and engage the community in a collaborative effort. This endeavor will fulfill the needs of the Central Miami community through four distinct areas, education, community, faith & inclusivity, and sports development facilities. Children, young adults, families and older members of our community will make The Center for Jewish Life their preferred place to meet friends, learn, play, pray, and celebrate.

A Message From Rabbi Jacobs

For the past couple of years, we have worked with volunteers, community leaders, architects and experts in an effort to make our vision a reality and to bring much needed and transformative change to the Central Miami area. The Center for Jewish Life will be more than just a building, it will be a symbol of inclusivity and the future of Judaism.

As we anxiously await the moment when we can all gather again to celebrate and share our faith, we look to you, our supporters and community, to help us make The Center for Jewish Life a reality. This is an awesome undertaking that will meaningfully impact generations to come and dramatically improve not just our Jewish community, but the Greater Miami community as a whole. With your support, we will build an extraordinary place for learning, gathering and faith.

A Message From our Campaign Chair

As my teenage sons get older, one of my biggest priorities is figuring out how and where we can enjoy time together, and how Judaism can remain relevant in our lives. Why can't we have a place of Jewish identity where everyone in my family will want to spend time? The answer is, we can. That will be the role of The Center for Jewish Life for my family and yours. That’s why my husband and I have pledged our money, time, and expertise to make this dream become a reality. While I have been a proud and active member of the Beth David and Gordon School family for more than 15 years, the transformation of the campus and all that it will offer, cannot happen soon enough. The Center for Jewish Life will be a place where people of all ages and backgrounds will want to celebrate life's milestones, meet up with friends for a pick-up basketball game, take a cooking class, shop at a weekly farmers market, squeeze in morning minyan to start the day, send their kids to school or just grab a cup of coffee. I want The Center for Jewish Life not just for my family, but for every person who would enjoy and flourish at a campus with so much to offer spiritually, recreationally, and educationally.
