Interested in bringing Rabbi Jacobs to your place of business for a Lunch and Learn?  Bring your work community together for meaningful and relevant discussions based on Jewish teachings.

Rabbi Julie Jacobs will be starting another adult B’nai Mitzvah class! Beginning on Thursdays in July, start off by attending our weekday prayer service at 5:30 then continue with Hebrew Reading, Torah Chanting and Bible Study.  The goal of the class is for each participant to become a Bar or Bat Mitzvah within a group setting on a date to be determined in the spring.

Beth David offers a comprehensive and meaningful program for those considering conversion to Judaism.  From your initial meeting with Rabbi Jacobs through your educational journey to your actual conversion, we are here for you.  Our curriculum follows the conversion guidelines of the Rabbinical Assembly and covers the following topics: Holidays, Life Cycle, Religious Movements, Bible, Prayer, History and Theology.  Conversion candidates will be expected to keep up with reading assignments, attend all classes, participate in certain class field trips, and write a final essay reflecting their spiritual journey.  Once the 6 month coursework is complete, candidates will sit before a bet din (rabbinic court) and fulfill the requirements of the mikvah (ritual bath).
